BEGONIA GOEGOENSIS

BEGONIA GOEGOENSIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLANTS IN ALL THE WORLD. MANY WHO SEE IT DESCRIBE ITS STUNNING PATTERNS AS LIKE A GOLDEN SPIDERWEB. ITS LEAVES ARE AMONG THE MOST DISTINCTIVE NOT ONLY AMONG ALL BEGONIAS, BUT FROM ANY PLANT FAMILY. AN ADDED BONUS IS ITS SPRAYS PF PINK FLOWERS; BUT HERE THE LEAVES ARE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. SINCE GOEGOENSIS IS FROM SUMATRA--DISCOVERED IN THE LATE 1800S, IT REQUIRES HEAT. I HAVE DONE BEST WITH THIS PLANT IN A LARGE TERRARIUM, BUT IT CAN BE GROWN OUTSIDE IN FLORIDA IN THE MORE HUMID PARTS OF THE YEAR. PROTECT FROM TOO MUCH RAIN, OF COURSE.
